The Browning Sporter 20 Gun Safe comes with a 80 minute fire rating and Browning’s Premium DPX Full Door Panel System & Lifetime Warranty.
The Browning SP20 Sporter safe received the UL Residential Security Container Burglary Rating due to its heavy duty construction and security features. The door on this safe is built with 1″ Formed Door with a partial inner plate. The body of the safe is constructed with 12 gauge steel.
The Sporter Gun Safe SP20 by Browning now comes with a full 80 minute fire rating at 1550 degrees Fahrenheit (or 95 min fire rating at 1200º F). The safe comes with specialty Thermablock fire insulation, which means there are thicker sheets of fire insulation arranged in an interlocking design that minimizes gaps to prevent the internal safe temperature from rising during a fire. The SP20 model safe has 1 â…ž” of fire insulation in the ceiling, 1 ¼” in the body and 1 ¾” in the door.
Securing the door shut are 8 total (5 active) 1″ thick chrome-lined locking bolts. These bolts use a 3-way locking system, meaning they lock into the top and both sides of the safe. There are also Pry-Stop End Bolts, which secure the critical door corners. These End Bolts are more than 2 ½ times longer than regular bolts, they attach to a high-strength steel angle that prevents the locking bolts support bar from bending in a pry attack
Standard on the SP20 Sporter 20 gun safe is a UL Listed SecuRam Electronic Lock. The lock is protected by a hardened steel pin. Another layer of security, is the Force Deflector™ locking system in the case of an attempted break in.
The beige carpet-lined interior on the Sporter 20 comes with adjustable shelving for neatly storing your valuables inside. The carpet material lining the interior of the safe is meant to protect your valuables from getting scratched while securely stored inside.
The Browning SP20 Sporter Gun Safe is available in either a Hammer Gloss Gray or Browning’s Putty Gray upgraded finish. All hardware, including the 3-spoke handle, comes in a matte black finish. The interior of the safe comes with an elevated floor to prevent your guns from getting bumped on the bottom door lining will pulling them out of your safe. The heavy duty hinges allow you to open the door of the safe a complete 180 degrees.
The Browning SP20 Sporter 20 Gun Safe comes with the Browning Lifetime ProSteel Warranty. This lifetime warranty covers break-in, attempted break-in, or fire. Â
